Summer Romance Reading Program

Where I live, school’s out and summer’s on. As a kid, that meant trekking off to the library to sign up for the Summer Reading Program…that charming piece of paper with a bunch of blank lines and the promise of a goody bag if you filled it out by the end of summer.

I know a lot of people talk about the free pizza coupon they’d get, but I don’t remember if we got that in my small town.

What I do remember is the feeling of accomplishment when I finished reading another book and got to write it on the list. Honestly, that was more gratifying than the prizes. (And so began a lifetime of writing lists and checking off my accomplishments.)

Here’s how my Summer Romance Reading Program works:

• Read ten romance books by August 31.

• Send me your list with titles and authors. (Details on how to do that will come at the end of summer.)

• I’ll put your name in a drawing for a pack of Charming Prizes…stickers and bookmarks and more (But no pizza coupon.)

• Your list of titles/authors does NOT need to be on my Charming Piece of Paper, but you get a bonus entry in the drawing if it is.

• Another bonus entry if one of my books is on your list.
